At the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) one of its roles is to investigate complaints of housing discrimination. If you believe you have been discriminated against in violation of any of these federal fair housing laws, you can file a complaint with FHEO.

Housing discrimination is illegal. You can file a complaint with HUD if you believe you have experienced discrimination in:

-Renting or buying a home
-Getting a mortgage
-Obtaining housing insurance
-Seeking housing assistance
-Or in other housing-related activities

You can also file a complaint if you believe you have been denied an equal opportunity to participate in a HUD program. You have one year after an alleged violation to file a complaint with HUD, but you should file it as soon as possible.

The Fair Housing Act protects people from discrimination when they are renting, buying, or securing financing for any housing. The prohibitions specifically cover discrimination because of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability and the presence of children.

Ways you can file a complaint:

-You can file a complaint with FHEO online in English or Spanish.
-You can download our form (also available in Arabic, Cambodian, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese) and email it to your local FHEO office at the email address listed.
-You can speak with an FHEO intake specialist by calling 1-800-669-9777 (or 1-800-927-9275 for TTY).
-You can print out our form (also available in Arabic, Cambodian, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese) and mail it to your regional FHEO office at the address listed.

If You Are Disabled, HUD also provides:

-A toll-free TTY phone for the hearing impaired: 1-800-927-9275.
-Interpreters
-Tapes and braille materials
-Assistance in reading and completing forms

Little Pink Houses of Hope provides free, week-long retreats for breast cancer patients. They empower breast cancer patients and families to live each day to the fullest, with direction, purpose, and hope for the cancer journey.

- Personal retreat support

Retreats are offered at no cost. Little Pink provides each participant his/her own property, a schedule that includes a meal and an activity each day as well as a stipend for additional food expenses.

Travel to, from and during the retreat is the participant’s responsibility. You must have a vehicle during the retreat week (except for St. John).
