When you’re working hard for every dollar, it can be difficult putting food on the table. So WorkMoney wants to share many ways–including federal programs–to help feed your family.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

Also known as “food stamps,” SNAP provides assistance to help make groceries more affordable. If you qualify, you can opt to receive a debit-like card with a preloaded dollar amount every month that you can discreetly use at checkout. Any food item with a Nutritional Facts label on its packaging–the table showing calories and serving size–can be bought with a SNAP card.
